SoundTalks^® is looking for you, our new Embedded Software Engineer

Your mission

As Embedded Software Engineer you design, implement, and iterate the architecture of the embedded software that implements the interface between the hardware of SoundTalks’ livestock monitoring devices and backend servers operating in the cloud.

Your responsibilities

To contribute to bug-fixing, system validation and software testing. With gusto!
To implement, test and validate new system and software functionalities.
To support QA by deliverables, evidences and traceability.
To support end-to-end testing and CI/CD production pipelines.
To participate in code peer review and documentation consolidation.
To boldly go. And go again.

Your profile

Like what you read so far? Good!
Here are few things we need you to be:

You’re a Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.
You’re all about C and Python and maybe even C++.
You call yourself a Linux Developer, kernel debugger and driver developer.
TCP/IP routing configuration and debugging are your jam.
And don’t get you started on message broker architectures!
If you have experience with yocto and/or openwrt and/or wireless mesh technologies, that’s a plus.
Any experience with signal processing or software solutions to computational problems on embedded systems is very welcome as well!
You’re a stress-resistant problem solver who’s all about ‘can do’. Just like the rest of us. Oh, and your English is top notch.
