Yes, any admin user can edit a site in order to make changes to the location, to the hierarchy and to add monitors or gateways.
You can find the registration code for your monitors directly on the monitors and on the sticker provided inside the SoundTalks® box.
If the LED light on your monitors is showing a solid green, yellow, red, or blue color, your device is online and connected to the gateway. If the LED light on your monitors is showing a solid blue color but the gateway LED light is not flashing, the monitor is online, but the gateway is not collecting data. You can also check the status of your devices directly on the SoundTalks® web portal.
If the LED light on your monitor is flashing blue, it means that it was not able to connect to the gateway device. You should move your monitor to another place in order to establish a connection, which is indicated by a solid blue light on the monitor.
The monitor is functioning correctly when the LED light is showing a solid green, yellow, red or blue color. However, if your monitor is flashing blue, it indicates that it is no longer connected to the gateway. In this case, you’ll need to move the monitor in order to establish a connection. You can also go to the Devices tab of the SoundTalks® web portal to check the status of your monitors.
The range of the monitors is 10 meters (32.8 ft.). If one monitor is not enough for the area you are monitoring, it is recommended that you install another monitor to gain full coverage of your desired area. Please contact your sales representative for more information.
The monitor should have access to power and it should hang among the pig pens at a height of between 2 and 5 meters (6.6 and 16.4 ft.), no further than 30 meters (98.4 ft.) away from the gateway and any other monitors that are connected to the gateway. If you encounter issues with monitor placement, please contact your sales representative.
Up to 32 monitors can be connected to one gateway device. If you have more than 32 monitors, you should purchase and install an additional gateway device. Please contact your sales representative for more installation information.
You can edit the name of your monitor by clicking on the Devices tab in the SoundTalks® online web portal.
No, you do not need Wi-Fi for the gateway or monitors to function. However, the gateway does require connection to the internet via an ethernet cable.
If you would like to move your monitors within your existing site, you can reposition or relocate them as you wish. However, if you would like to move your monitors to a different site, you will need to purchase a new set of devices. Please contact your sales representative directly for more information.
